“Truckla” was actually the “first” Tesla truck … for anyone keeping track.
Earlier this year, YouTuber and maker Simone Giertz hacked a Model 3 into an all-electric truck. So, it was only fair that Giertz attend Tesla’s Cybertruck unveiling in Los Angeles and see what CEO Elon Musk decided to do with the debut of its official truck. Lucky for us, she recorded the whole shebang.
Around the 5-minute mark in Giertz’s latest video update, she arrives at the Cybertruck event while driving in herTruckla — the name she gave to her homemade Tesla truck. Once she makes her way inside, you get to relive the moment Musk brought his cyberpunk, Blade Runner-inspired vehicle onto the stage for the first time. We also get to see Giertz’s in-the-moment reaction. It’s priceless. And representative of so many of us: confused and bewildered by what Tesla created.
This was my actual reaction when the Cybertruck rolled out on stage.
Just posted a new video with more Cybertruck and Trucklaupdates: https://youtu.be/FCKjmfsgBBY

Upon catching sight of the Cybertruck, Giertz immediately says, “Honestly, I just don’t fucking know. It’s a lot,” before covering her face in shame/embarrassment/weariness (???) for Tesla and its “unbreakable” glass window fail.
“I need to take a nap and think about this,” she quips.
Honestly, Simone, same.
